Rules
- No hate speech or bullying. Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about things such as race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.
- Consider the environment. Please do not add plastic decorations e.g. foam shapes, googly eyes etc to your masterpieces. They can harm wildlife and the environment
- Taking stones from beaches and rivers. In some areas this is illegal and could get you in trouble and a hefty fine! Stones can be purchased from garden centres, builders merchants, DIY stores etc. See "About" for more details.
- Do not remove memorial stones or stones from grave sites. Some painted rocks are left at grave sites, do not remove them without permission from the artist or permission is given on the reverse of the rock. If you are not sure, leave it where you found it
- Sharing images of children on social media. Sharing images of your own child with finds/creations is a matter of personal choice. Always seek permission from parents/carers of other children in the photo before sharing it on social media. If you have concerns, an image of just hands holding the rock(s) will work just fine
- Age restrictions. There are no age restrictions on creating or hunting rocks. You're never too young or too old to take part. Anyone can share finds/creations, no matter how many there are. See rule on children's images
- Keeping your finds. This is always a risk for the artists, that someone might find the stone so amazing, they just can't let it go. Please post a pic of your find here regardless. The artists will be so pleased to see it
- Other groups stones and rocks. Please share your finds on the originator's page. "Re-branding" of other groups stones is VERY UN-COOL, re-branding your own creations is a personal choice. We are not here to compete with other groups
- Where to hide and not hide your rocks. Please hide your rocks in a safe place, where it can be found by someone in safety. Please do not hide them in shops and supermarkets, or other such places, without permission first
- No promotions or spam. Self-promotion, spam or irrelevant links are not allowed. No advertising without permission and links to selling pages. Keep the Taff Rocks pages fun and free for all ages and abilities.
- Maintain a healthy and wholesome environment. We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. Be kind and respectful. If you block any Admin or Moderators from the Facebook Group, you will be removed from the group
- If you block a member of the admin team or a moderator of the Facebook Group, you will be removed from the group.
