We, at Taff Rocks, want to celebrate you! We want to celebrate that, even with all our differences, we can all work together regardless of age, gender, religion and everything else. We also want to celebrate the humble bumble bee, without which, our lives would be so much different.
To do this, on Friday June 21st, Taff Rocks are making a BeeLine for the old pit wall in Nixonville in Merthyr Tydfil. The event starts at 1pm and ends at 5pm.
Here's how it works:
- Create a bumble bee related work of rock art.
- Why not create more than one?
- Get the family involved.
- Attend a Taff Rocks community workshop (to be arranged) if you need help creating a bee rock.
- Head down to the wall in Nixonville and add your bee rock or rocks to the line
- After 5pm, call by again, take a bee rock, it doesn't have to be yours, and set it free!
- Share a public picture on your social media with the hashtags #ynysowenbeeline and #taffrocks then share the picture in our Facebook group.
It's totally free too! But if you'd like to sponsor or make a donation to Taff Rocks, please click here to do that. Every penny will count toward sustainability and more community workshops!
For a full list of bumble bee rock tutorials, including finger painted bees, check out the dedicate bee index here. Don't forget, check the tutorials tab above for a full index of them all.

You don't even need to be a member of Taff Rocks to take part! We will be happy to welcome rocks from other groups, as long as they're bee related.
Nicola, one of our co-founders is also asking for generous people to sponsor her in painting as many bee rocks as possible for the BeeLine.

The link to her page to sponsor her is here
We all hope to see you there. You can add your bee rocks at any time between 1 and 5 on the day, you don't have to stay and watch the line grow.
Our local council has stated that they are happy for this event to go ahead and that we do not need any licences as long as we are not
- Playing music
- Selling alcohol
- Collecting money
We have no intention of doing any of these.
See you there, let's get bizzzzzzyyyyyyyy x
