A new life for old pens - Recycling Programme

As part of our environmental objective, we are recycling all our used paint pens as well as all our other daily pens and we can help you do this too!

There are a number of old pen recycling collection points dotted everywhere, but none were close to us. From this date onward:

At every workshop, we will be bringing with us a recycling bin for your old pens!

Taff Rocks will then take these to our nearest Bic Community Champion collection point for recycling. These are then dealt with using the TerraCycle Programme

Accepted waste in this programme:

  • All brands of writing instruments (except for wooden pencils and chalk) are accepted
    • Pens / Biros
    • Paint Pens
    • Felt tips
    • Highlighters
    • Marker pens
    • Correction fluid pots
    • Correction tapes
    • Mechanical pencils
    • Fountain pens and their ink cartridges
Regardless of their composition.

"Points / Units" are collected, 1 point / unit = 1 penny and then donated to schools, charities and non-profit organisations.

Their new life could include:
  • Watering cans
  • Benches
  • Plant pots
  • and more
Please help support Taff Rocks and support our environmental initiatives!
