Wood Cookies / Slices as Canvases

Rocks, as a canvas, totally rock! But every once in a while, you might need something else. One of our co-founders recently tried these as part of a project for someone. Wood 'cookies' or slices. Check them out ...

These would not necessarily be good for outdoors, but that would be dependent on sealant etc. These we sprayed with the same spray varnish as the rocks we use at workshops.

Taff Rocks, at this time, are not considering using these at our public workshops for a number of reasons. The main reason being the cost. As a non-profit organisation that relies on grants and fundraising, we need to be sure that they'd be the right product for the right 'event'.

The pack of 30, purchased from Amazon, are about the same price as you could be expected to pay for a sack rocks which, we have determined, contain about 90 usable rocks of the same size, but a bigger pack of 50 works out less per cookie.

They come pre-drilled with a hole for hanging as well as with free 10mm jute twine.

From Amazon, pack of 30 or 50
They would make excellent keepsake gifts and, for example, wedding favours etc.

These are approximately 6 to 7cms, although not even due to being a natural item. At the time of writing, 30 cost £9.99 whilst a pack of 50 costs £11.99. Our co-founder purchased a pack of 30 to test them out of these positivity paintings.

For the artwork, she used a variety of different paint pens: Posca, Artistro and OPCreativ, plus others, but they would also works well with acrylic paints. They'd also make excellent canvases for pyrography.

If you've used these, let us know what you think of them. Our co-founder loves them and loves working with them.
