Taff Rocks are overjoyed to announce that our community-based rock painting workshops are re-opening!
Our first workshop, two in one day, will be held at St. John's Ambulance Hall, Nixonville, Merthyr Vale on the Spring Bank Holiday Monday, 31st May.
The first one is at 10:00am and the second is at 1:00pm
We have had to make a few changes, they are:
- We have to limit the spaces available
- Advance booking / reservations online - this is free - bring your ticket / e-ticket with you on the day.
- Reservation can be made here or by selecting 'Make a Reservation' from the menu above.
- This will reserve a table / workstation for you for 15 minutes.
- Payment of £3.25 to be paid on the door using contactless (with debit / credit card) or cash.
- We would prefer to limit our cash handling so please try using contactless where possible.
- Please do not reserve tables for both the workshops that day. We would like to give others the opportunity to attend after such a long time of not being able to run, which is why we are running two on the same day.
- Tickets will become available at 08:00am on Monday 17th May 2021
- If the tickets for any date you wish are 'sold out', you can add yourself to the 'reserve list' in the same way as above.
- Reservation can be made here or by selecting 'Make a Reservation' from the menu above.
- We will call you, on a 'first come first served' basis, should we receive a cancellation or someone fails to show after 15 minutes.
- Payment of £3.25 to be paid on the door using contactless (with debit / credit card) or cash.
- We would prefer to limit our cash handling so please try using contactless where possible.
- Tickets will become available at 08:00am on Monday 17th May 2021
- These reservations are for up to three people, one must be an adult, from the same social bubble. See ticket / reservation for further details if there are more than three.
- Please contact us at least 48 hours before, if possible, if you need to cancel your reservation. We can then make this space available to someone else.
- Masks are a mandatory requirement for all attendees aged 11 years and older.
- Your temperatures, by infrared thermometer, will be taken before entry.
- Refreshments will be unavailable until further notice.
- Our reference library will be unavailable until further notice.
- Toilet facilities will be available. They will be cleaned before and after the workshop but not after every use. Please practice good hygiene and leave the facilities safe for others after you.
- Please stick to all guidance and information given.
- Each table / workstation will have two boxes of sanitised / disinfected acrylic paint pens, one set of fineliners and one set of medium tipped ones.
- These boxes are unique to your area. Do not share your equipment with another table.
- Please leave your pens in their boxes and leave the lids off the boxes when you leave.
- These will be sanitised / disinfected for re-use.
- Rocks will be given to each person on the way in.
- These rocks will be in a little red bag* - three rocks per person as previous workshops.
- Please place this little red bag in the 'laundry basket' or bag on the way out so we can ensure they are washed and safe for re-use - or leave it on your table.
- Track and trace details will be taken.
- We are required to keep this information for 21 days after the workshop.
- Please use the sanitiser on the way in.
- You will be asked to repeat this information on the 'register of attendees'. We keep these for feeding back to our funders about our beneficiaries.
- Spraying / sealing your rocks will be at a minimum, if at all.
- The paint pens you will be using can cope quite well with the weather, so your rock will be safe to travel.
- Two facilitators will be there to help you at all times.
- These will be wearing masks, face shields, aprons and gloves.
- Gloves are there to protect our hands as we will be sanitising them when moving from table to table if we're needed.
- We ask that you leave promptly after the workshops have ended as the facilitators are required to undertake a 'deep clean' before and after each workshop.
